Corporate Memberships

Please read through each membership category carefully. You must select the membership category for which you are most qualified. Business owners should apply on behalf of their business, and cannot simply apply as individual members. Your application will be reviewed to be certain you have chosen the most appropriate category for your circumstances.

American Business Member (2 votes)
Annual Dues: Dhs. 3,000 (prorated quarterly)
Corporations, LLCs, partnerships, sole proprietorships, associations and other U. S. entities.
Controlled foreign subsidiaries of the foregoing U.S. entities.
Foreign businesses or institutions substantially owned or controlled by Americans (including entities established in the U.A.E.).
Excluding entities that are U.S. subsidiaries of foreign owners and that do not have both their own significant and independent U.S. operations and significant and independent business interests in the U.A.E.
Awarded to most senior executive in the company.

Small Business Member (1 vote)
Annual Dues: Dhs. 2,000 (prorated quarterly)
Applicants that qualify for American Business membership, other than U.S. Corporations, LLCs, partnerships, association or other U.S. Institution or a subsidiary thereof, may apply for membership in the Small Business subcategory if they have their principal operations in Dubai or the Northern Emirates and have fewer than six full time employees.

UAE Business Member (1 vote)
Annual Dues: Dhs. 3,000 (prorated quarterly)
U.A.E. business, or major operating units thereof, with a presence in Dubai and/or the Northern Emirates, which carry on, as a major business, an agency, distributorship, franchise or other representation of, or a management contract or joint venture with, an American business; or a business that is managed or operated substantially by American professionals in accordance with American standards; or a business with a special nexus with the American business community.

UAE Business Hotel Member (1 vote)
Annual Dues: Dhs. 7,500 (prorated quarterly)
U.A.E. business hotel with a presence in Dubai and/or the Northern Emirates.

Nonprofit (1 vote)
Annual Dues: Dhs. 2,000 (prorated quarterly)
Applicants that qualify for American Business membership may apply for membership in the Non-Profit subcategory if they are operated on a not-for-profit basis.

Annual Dues: Dhs. 3,500 (prorated quarterly)
Entities, not having a presence in Dubai or the Northern Emirates, that would otherwise qualify for American Business membership or UAE Business membership and have a significant business interest in Dubai or the Northern Emirates.

The American Business Council of Dubai has two types of memberships; corporate memberships and individual memberships. There are different membership categories within each type.
